TV Talk; fall 2014

Friday, 3 October 2014

As you may know, I love TV! Who doesn't?! Fictional characters to fall in love with, to root for, and to relate to. TV helps you escape reality for a short amount of time. Brings you into their world, and makes you excited to see what's going to happen next week.

So let's talk TV shall we!

One. Once Upon a Time, Season 4.

I'm a HUGE OUAT fan!! I've mentioned it on my blog a couple times. So I was counting down the days for this to come back, especially after how amazing the S3 finale was. The Season 4 premiere did not disappoint! Starting right where it left off, we got to see the aftermath of all the events that went down and how they played out. I really loved the introduction of the Frozen characters and thought the casting was perfect!! They were all spot on which was so satisfying as someone who loved Frozen!

The premiere set up alot of where we're going this season. I'm excited to see where they take it from here. This show is by far my favourite at the moment. I can't wait for the next episode!!

Two. Family Guy/The Simpsons crossover.

Okay. So I've loved The Simpsons since I was a child. I started watching it since before I could remember. It premiered in Dec 1989, so I was about 1 and a half when it premiered. It was a cartoon, so my parents let me watch it because why not. I didn't understand it anyways. I have photographic proof of me as a 3 year old with my Bart Simpsons doll. It was my favourite show much to the dismay of my grandmother who always thought it was inappropriate for someone my age to watch it, and she may have been right. But that's how much The Simpsons is iconic to me!

(Said proof; Me at age 3 with my Bart doll.)

Now Family Guy, I won't lie. I liked it and have the DVDs, and find it funny at times. But it will never be on the same level as The Simpsons for me. But anyways, I stopped watching both shows, not because I don't like them anymore, but I have enough shows to keep up with. That's what buying the DVDs are for!

I did watch this crossover and it did not do Family Guy any favours, let's put it that way! It only reminded me why I like The Simpsons more. It had everything that bothers me about Family Guy and brought it to Springfield, and I wasn't pleased! It completely turned me off from Family Guy, and made me want to rewatch The Simpsons and get back to watching just that show.

This post from tumblr best describes my feelings on it all.

Three. Modern Family, season 6.

This show is flawless in my personal opinion!! I just love it! I love every character, I enjoy seeing what they get into every week. I love seeing these characters grow and see how they've all progressed since the start of the show. It's just a show that always makes me laugh and puts a smile on my face. When I'm going through a bad patch, I put on Modern Family and it makes me happy for a while.

I'm particularly excited to see where Haley and Andy go this season! I really loved their storyline last season, and wished it was longer. So I can't wait to see where they go from there. His first episode back is next week!! I can't wait!

That's all I have for today!! OUAT and Modern Family are my two favourite shows right now! But I'm also watching New Girl (which I love, but I need Nick and Jess back together asap), and Brooklyn Nine Nine. I also plan to watch The Flash when it starts because I love Grant Gustin soo much ever since the Glee days! And I want to get caught up with Arrow as well.

So those are my TV plans for this year, what are yours?
