The Neptune Grand has always been the seaside town’s ritziest hotel, despite the shady dealings and high-profile scandals that seem to follow its elite guests. When a woman claims that she was brutally assaulted in one of its rooms and left for dead by a staff member, the owners know that they have a potential powder keg on their hands. They turn to Veronica to disprove—or prove—the woman's story.

The case is a complicated mix of hard facts, mysterious occurrences, and uncooperative witnesses. The hotel refuses to turn over its reservation list and the victim won’t divulge who she was meeting that night. Add in the facts that the attack happened months ago, the victim’s memory is fuzzy, and there are holes in the hotel’s surveillance system, and Veronica has a convoluted mess on her hands. As she works to fill in the missing pieces, it becomes clear that someone is lying—but who? And why?

Another great Veronica Mars story!! I love reading these books because I picture it all so easily because it's so true to the show. Only thing I was massively disappointed with was that Kristen Bell didn't narrate this book like she did the first. So because of that I didn't buy the audiobook for this, but it was still just as good, I could hear all their voices in my head just fine.

The case in this one wasn't what I was expecting it to be, but it kept me interested throughout the whole book. The main victim is also a character from the TV series, I won't say who, but it was cool how they did that. Now about Logan and Veronica, I loved that there was more of them in this book, still could have been more but I was really happy that they had Logan home for this one. They are now living together which made me very happy. I will say, I didn't get a good feeling towards the end when they mentioned her having possible feelings for Leo again. But it ended on a good note for Logan and Veronica so my shipper heart was happy.

I would love if they brought out more books like this! They are all so good, and so true to the show as they would be with Rob Thomas co-writing the books. If Kristen Bell can just narrate more of the books than it would be perfect. I need more Veronica Mars in my life!
